Best Christmas Toys – What are the Best Toys for Christmas?

I love the Christmas season, always have and always will. It’s definitely my favorite holiday of the year. Kids make the Christmas season especially enjoyable, and buying toys for them is great fun. Each year it seems like there are certain popular toys that everyone is looking for. These are not necessarily the best Christmas toys per se, but simply the hot toys for the year.

I remember a couple years ago the Wii was just out and I had to go wait in line for hours in order to get one as it was the major thing on my son’s list. I had never previously sunk to the level of waiting for hours in line outside a store, and I hope to never have to do it again, but it was worth it to be able to present the gift on Christmas morning.

But anyway, like I mentioned, the best Christmas toys are not always what are most popular. However, unfortunately, you are stuck looking for those popular Christmas toys sometimes simply because of that – they are popular, they are heavily advertised, and if you ask me, they are artificially made to appear in limited supply. I never did understand why the toy manufacturers couldn’t just make more toys, They know the toy or game is going to be hot, they know all the kids are going to want them, they know the parents are going to be clamoring to buy, waving wallets and credit cards, and yet they are in ridiculous short supply. I simply do not think that is not done on purpose.

If your child is young enough, he or she won’t bother you about expensive and popular, hard-to-find toys. So enjoy this time! Soon enough they’ll be asking for $200 game systems, talking dolls, and other such popular items for the year.

You must decide if it’s worth it to you to get up at the crack of dawn weekend after weekend to get the hottest toys of the year, or whether the best Christmas toys for your child might be something a little more subtle, something not heavily advertised. Maybe even something you can walk into the store and buy without a fuss or a wait in line. Imagine that!
